Stand For Forests Foundation is a youth-led nonprofit based in Sathyamangalam, Tamil Nadu, committed to climate action, biodiversity conservation and sustainable living. The organization focuses on restoring ecosystems, empowering communities and fostering environmental awareness through education, research and grassroots initiatives. Key areas of work include forest restoration, carbon sink development, community support and climate education. Stand For Forests also promotes youth and volunteer engagement and collaborates with institutions on research-based conservation strategies. The foundation is aligned with India's vision of achieving 33% tree cover and creating climate-resilient rural landscapes.

Role Description

This is a remote and unpaid internship for one month. Interns will support our climate action and conservation initiatives through outreach, communication and coordination.

You will:

• Assist in fundraising related tasks
• Help in writing reports and documentation
• Create content for social media and awareness campaigns
• Manage Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn pages
• Contact schools and colleges for collaborations and volunteer engagement
• Monitor the activities of similar NGOs for partnership opportunities
• Identify collaborations to increase visibility and outreach
• Collaborate weekly with Coimbatore based NGOs for field or awareness activities
• Prepare short outreach reports and progress updates

• Team oriented with strong organizational skills
• Comfortable using tools like Microsoft Office for documentation

Eligibility

• Must be based in Coimbatore
• Students from M.Sc. Social Work, B.Sc. Environmental Science, Forestry, Social Sciences, Sustainability or other relevant disciplines will be given preference (final year students are welcome to apply)
• Active members of NSS, Eco Club, Rotaract Club or similar college societies are encouraged to apply
• Interest in climate action, biodiversity conservation and sustainable living
• Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to gather, evaluate and interpret environmental or social data
• Excellent communication skills, including report writing, content creation and basic presentation development
• Basic understanding of community outreach and stakeholder engagement
• Proficiency with online tools for research, documentation and communication
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment
• Responsible, motivated and passionate about environmental conservation
