Client Relationship Manager (CRM)

Role Summary

The CRM will act as SF Marine’s dedicated representative for CSL. The role demands regular visits to the shipyard, monitoring tenders, coordinating quotations, bidding, documentation, and supporting SF Marine’s technical and service offerings.

Key Responsibilities

Client Management & Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Cochin Shipyard Ltd.
  • Visit CSL regularly to understand requirements, projects, and procurement needs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with engineering, procurement, inspection, and project teams.
  • Provide timely feedback, updates, and follow-ups internally.

Tendering & Bidding

  • Monitor CSL tender portals, notice boards, and online platforms.
  • Evaluate tender requirements, technical specifications, and documentation needs.
  • Prepare competitive bids with the support of SF Marine’s technical & commercial team.
  • Track tender progress, clarifications, submissions, and post-bid negotiations.

Technical & Product Knowledge

  • Gain full product training on SF Marine’s portfolio, including:
  • Marine Electronics: Navigation, communication, automation & repair services
  • Safety PPE: 3M, ATG, Ansell gloves, helmets, and protection systems
  • BAND-IT Tools & Clamps
  • WEICON adhesives, repair kits, zinc spray, greases, sealants
  • Assist CSL teams by explaining product benefits, application engineering, and technical suitability.

Reporting & Coordination

  • Submit weekly reports on client visits, tenders identified, bids submitted, and project updates.
  • Coordinate closely with SF Marine's Chennai head office and technical departments for pricing, supply, and support.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical / Marine / Industrial Engineering (preferred).
  • 2–5 years experience with tendering, shipyard operations, or technical sales.
  • Sound understanding of tendering, cost evaluation, and documentation workflow.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications & drawings.
  • Good communication skills in English and Malayalam.
  • Self-driven, organized, and able to independently manage work in Kochi.
  • Willingness to undergo product & engineering application training.
