Civil Engineer – Real Estate Development

Overview:
A Civil Engineer in the real estate sector plays a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of residential, commercial, and industrial real estate projects. They ensure that the structural, infrastructural, and environmental aspects of developments meet technical standards, legal requirements, and client expectations — from land development to project completion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Design:
• Prepare site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, and road networks for real estate developments.
• Collaborate with architects, surveyors, and planners to create sustainable and cost-effective designs.
• Site Assessment & Feasibility Studies:
• Conduct topographical and geotechnical investigations to evaluate land suitability for construction.
• Analyze zoning regulations, soil conditions, and infrastructure availability.
• Construction Supervision:
• Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and local building codes.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to manage quality, timelines, and budgets.
• Infrastructure Development:
• Design and manage essential infrastructure such as roads, water supply, sewage, and stormwater systems for housing or commercial projects.
• Cost Estimation & Budgeting:
• Prepare BOQs (Bills of Quantities), cost estimates, and material requirements.
• Monitor project costs and ensure adherence to financial plans.
• Regulatory & Compliance:
• Obtain necessary permits and approvals from local authorities.
• Ensure environmental and legal compliance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Collaboration & Reporting:
• Liaise with developers, architects, contractors, and government agencies.
• Prepare progress reports, technical documents, and as-built drawings.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s degree preferred for senior roles).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent (depending on region).
• Experience in real estate development, land development, or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, Revit, or related design software.
• Strong understanding of construction codes, urban planning, and environmental standards.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹12,836.11 - ₹44,747.06 per month
