Job Description

Role Overview

Cisco Level 2 Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Provide
L2 support
for Cisco UC, UCCE, and Webex platforms.
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to
voice, video, and collaboration systems
.
Perform configuration changes, upgrades, and patch management.
Collaborate with L1 support teams and escalate issues to L3/vendor when necessary.
Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of UC and contact center solutions.
Document technical procedures, incident resolutions, and configuration changes.
Participate in
on-call rotation
and support critical incidents as needed.

Required Skills & Experience

25 years
of experience in Cisco UC and UCCE environments.
Strong knowledge of:

Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM)
Cisco UCCE components (PG, CVP, ICM scripting)
Cisco Webex (Meetings, Calling, Messaging)

Familiarity with
SIP, H.323, VoIP protocols
, and troubleshooting tools.
Experience with
Cisco gateways, CUBE, and voice gateways
.
Basic understanding of
networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, QoS)
.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a
24x7 support environment
.

Preferred Qualifications

Cisco certifications such as
CCNA Collaboration
,
CCNP Collaboration
, or equivalent.
Exposure to
Contact Center scripting
and
integration with third-party applications
.
Knowledge of
ITIL processes
.
