Cisco Enterprise Network Engineer

.This role offers an exciting opportunity to design, implement, and maintain robust enterprise network infrastructures using Cisco technologies. You will play a critical role in ensuring network reliability, scalability, and security across complex environments. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will translate business requirements into technical solutions while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to best practices. The position requires hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems, along with expertise in network security and cloud networking. This is ideal for someone passionate about optimizing network performance, troubleshooting complex systems, and driving innovation in enterprise network architecture.
Accountabilities:
- Design, plan, and deploy Cisco-based network solutions to meet business and client requirements
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and other networking devices
- Monitor network performance, conduct capacity planning, and optimize infrastructure for high availability and reliability
- Implement network security measures, conduct audits, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Maintain detailed network documentation, diagrams, and reports on performance trends and updates
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors, providing technical expertise and guidance on network-related initiatives
- Mentor junior network engineers and support leadership in growing the network practice
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Cisco certifications required; CCIE strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of networking concepts and protocols including TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, MPLS, VPN, and QoS
- Extensive experience designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco network infrastructure
- Proficiency with Meraki switches, MX security appliances, MR access points, and SFP/SFP+ modules
- Experience with AWS networking and vendor security products (Palo Alto, Fortinet)
- Strong knowledge of network security principles, monitoring, and management tools
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
