Job Description

Oversee overall functioning of all hostels under her jurisdiction.
Formulate and implement hostel rules and regulations in consultation with the administration.
Ensure safety, discipline, and well-being of all female boarders.
Supervise Wardens, hostel staff, security personnel, and housekeeping teams.
Handle grievances, emergencies, and student welfare issues promptly.
Conduct regular meetings with Wardens and students to address concerns.
Coordinate with school/university departments for maintenance, medical care, transport, etc.
Monitor hygiene, food quality, cleanliness, and upkeep of hostel premises.
Maintain confidential records of students and staff.
Prepare annual budgets and manage hostel finances.
Submit periodic reports to higher authorities.

Supervise students' daily routines and ensure discipline.
Maintain a register of students residing in the hostel.
Ensure adherence to hostel rules and curfew timings.
Monitor cleanliness, food services, and room conditions.
Address student grievances, health issues, and coordinate with the medical facility.
Take attendance daily and report absentees.
Conduct regular rounds during day and night shifts.
Maintain liaison with parents/guardians in case of emergencies or disciplinary issues.
Report serious incidents or rule violations to the Chief Warden.
Encourage participation in hostel/community activities.
