Chief Technology Officer

Job Summary:

V K Industrial Corporation Ltd. is seeking a visionary and hands-on Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead its technology and digital innovation roadmap. The ideal candidate will align technology initiatives with business goals, oversee all tech operations, and drive digital transformation across the company. Prior experience in the steel, metal or B2B industry is preferred, along with deep understanding of industry-relevant software managing software tools for operations, logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

Tech & AI Strategy

Design and lead the digital roadmap with a strong focus on AI-driven solutions

Identify and implement use cases for AI in demand forecasting, route optimization, pricing models, and customer service

Stay updated on emerging tech to ensure competitive advantage

Platform & Systems Architecture

Oversee development or integration and implementation of ERP, CRM, and AI platforms

Ensure seamless connectivity across inventory, logistics, sales, and finance systems

Choose the right tech stack and vendors (build vs. buy decisions)

Technology Research & Market Analysis

Conduct market analysis and research to identify new technologies relevant to the steel distribution industry

Evaluate emerging tools and platforms for potential implementation

Stay educated on AI, logistics tech, and software trends that impact the sector

Analyze operational data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for tech-driven improvement

Customer-Facing Tech

Lead development of smart quotation tools, sales CRMs, and client portals

Integrate chatbots and automation for client communication and onboarding

Leadership & Collaboration

Build and mentor an internal tech team (developers, data scientists, engineers)

Collaborate closely with operations, sales, finance, and leadership

Create a culture of innovation, experimentation, and data-first decision making
