Role Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and driven Chief of Staff who will act as a strategic partner to the CCO in driving key initiatives in the renewable energy space. This role requires strong project management experience in renewable projects or a background in sustainability consulting, along with hands-on understanding of
land acquisition regulatory processes
for solar and wind farms. The Chief of Staff will work closely with cross-functional teams Project Development, Legal, Regulatory, Project Finance, Business Development (CAPEX and OPEX) to streamline operations, support joint ventures, and assist in strategic collaborations and business growth in the clean energy segment.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Project Management & PMO Coordination:
- Manage and coordinate end-to-end renewable energy projects (solar and wind) with a focus on regulatory and land acquisition milestones.
- Monitor timelines, budget adherence, permitting processes, and risk mitigation measures.
- Ensure cross-team alignment on project deliverables through structured reporting and tracking mechanisms.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Liaise between the COO and departments including Project Development, Legal, Regulatory, Finance, and BD (Capex/Opex).
- Facilitate seamless communication and follow-through of critical cross-departmental tasks.
- Support coordination on large-scale business development pursuits and partnership initiatives.
3.
Regulatory & Land Acquisition Support:
- Work closely with the Regulatory and Legal teams to oversee processes for obtaining licenses, approvals, and land-related compliances for renewable projects.
- Keep track of evolving state/central regulations affecting wind and solar energy development.
4.
Strategic Initiatives & Joint Ventures:
- Assist the COO in driving partnerships, joint ventures, and strategic alliances in the renewables space.
- Conduct competitor benchmarking, market research, and commercial due diligence.
- Support the execution of M&A or JV transactions in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
5.
Client and Stakeholder Management:
- Help schedule and prepare for meetings with key external stakeholders including clients, regulators, JV partners, and financial institutions.
- Ensure documentation, briefing materials, and follow-up actions are well coordinated.
6.
Administrative & Team Management Support:
- Manage COO s calendar and coordinate team reviews and check-ins.
- Prepare and circulate minutes, action trackers, and dashboards for functional team meetings.
- Support the planning and execution of high-impact internal initiatives.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proven experience in renewable energy project management or sustainability consulting (solar/wind preferred).
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and land licensing processes for renewable energy in India.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management capabilities.
- High degree of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel dashboards, and project management tools like MS Project, Trello, or Asana.
