Job Objective:

The Chartered Accountant will manage key financial functions including accounting, auditing, taxation, compliance, financial reporting, and advisory services. The role requires supporting business decisions with financial insights, ensuring regulatory adherence, and assisting in budgeting and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the effective transition of the existing finance function, ensuring accuracy, continuity, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
• Act as a liaison by participating in regular meetings with Japanese management, facilitating clear communication and understanding across teams.
• Prepare detailed daily reports summarizing meetings, key decisions, actions, and business developments to be submitted promptly to Akira Advisors.
• Prepare and review financial statements, monthly/quarterly/annual reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Conduct internal and external audits, managing audit schedules and addressing audit queries.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws by timely filing of income tax, GST, professional tax, and other statutory returns.
• Provide tax planning and advisory services to optimize tax liabilities.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning activities.
• Maintain proper accounting records and reconcile accounts, bank statements, and ledger entries.
• Liaise with auditors, tax authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate with other departments for efficient financial management and reporting.
• Support implementation and improvement of internal financial controls and processes.
• Mentor and supervise junior accountants or support staff.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

·       Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification recognized by ICAI.

·       5-6 years of professional experience in accounting, auditing, taxation or finance roles.

·       Sound knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and tax laws.

·       Proficient with accounting software and MS Office applications.

·       Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

·       Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·       Ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
