CFD Engineering (Computational Fluid Dynamics)

· Start Date: Immediate

· Location: RZ-16, Third Floor, Mahindra Park,

· Near Hero Showroom, Uttam Nagar East, Delhi – 110059

· Salary: 15,000-20,000 (Salary no bar for the right candidate)

· Experience: 0 to 1 year

· Duration: 6 months or expandable up to 2 years.

Qualifications & Skills (CFD Engineer)

• CAD & Pre-Processing Tools Proficiency:
• SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar CAD tools.
• Meshing software: ANSYS Meshing, ICEM CFD, HyperMesh, or Pointwise.
• Fluid Mechanics & Heat Transfer Fundamentals:
• Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and heat transfer.
• Knowledge of turbulence modeling, compressible/incompressible flows, and multiphase flows.
• CFD Analysis & Simulation:
• Hands-on experience with CFD solvers such as ANSYS Fluent, OpenFOAM, STAR-CCM+, or COMSOL.
• Setup and execution of simulations: boundary conditions, solver settings, and convergence checks.
• Ability to perform aerodynamic, thermal, and flow simulations.
• Familiarity with coupling CFD with FEA for fluid-structure interaction (FSI).
• Post-Processing & Data Interpretation:
• Use of tools like ANSYS CFD-Post, Tecplot, ParaView, or MATLAB for result analysis.
• Ability to extract meaningful insights (drag, lift, pressure drop, flow distribution, temperature gradients).
• Preparation of clear technical reports and presentations.
• Prototyping & Validation:
• Correlation of CFD results with experimental/real-world testing.
• Familiarity with wind tunnel testing, thermal chambers, or flow bench data.
• Programming & Automation (Bonus):
• Knowledge of scripting (Python, MATLAB, C++) to automate CFD workflows and data analysis.
• Product Lifecycle & Project Management:
• Experience with PLM tools (like PTC Wind-chill, Siemens Team center) is beneficial.
• Ability to manage multiple simulation projects, timelines, and deliverables.

Roles and Responsibilities (CFD Engineer)

1. Simulation Setup & Execution

o Develop and run CFD simulations to analyze fluid flow, heat transfer, aerodynamics, and multiphase systems.

o Define boundary conditions, material properties, and solver settings for accurate results.

2. Model Preparation & Meshing

o Import CAD models and prepare geometry for simulation.

o Create structured/unstructured meshes, refine grids, and ensure mesh quality for numerical accuracy.

3. Post-Processing & Data Analysis

o Interpret simulation results using tools like ANSYS CFD-Post, ParaView, or Tecplot.

o Extract performance metrics (e.g., drag, lift, pressure distribution, heat transfer rates).

o Prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for internal and client review.

4. Validation & Correlation

o Compare simulation results with experimental data, prototypes, or industry standards.

o Suggest design improvements based on CFD insights.

5. Design Optimization & Support

o Work with design teams to optimize product performance (aerodynamics, cooling efficiency, fluid distribution).

o Provide input for material selection, manufacturing feasibility, and system performance improvements.

6. Collaboration & Communication

o Collaborate with mechanical designers, project managers, and R&D teams.

o Support cross-functional projects by providing fluid and thermal analysis expertise.

7. Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

o Maintain records of CFD workflows, simulation methodologies, and best practices.

o Contribute to knowledge databases for future projects.

8. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

o Stay updated on latest CFD methods, tools, and industry trends.

o Propose new techniques to improve simulation speed, accuracy, and efficiency.
