Job Description

Role Overview: As a Category Specialist at Ramboll, you will play a crucial role in supporting innovation within the global procurement team. Your main responsibility will be to enhance professionalism within the procurement and category management process. You will have the opportunity to work in an international environment, ensuring quality and contributing to the overall success of the team. Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders from different parts of the organization, and you will report to the Head of Indirect Spend in Ramboll Global Procurement. Key Responsibilities: - Own transactional supplier relationships, sourcing & negotiation, including managing the end-to-end procurement RFx processes such as RFI, RFP, and RFQ. - Support the Category Manager by analyzing data, recommending decision options, and coordinating with different stakeholders. - Meet with suppliers to discuss legal and business matters, manage their performance, and review and edit contracts efficiently. - Identify opportunities to improve business processes, create and present information to stakeholders, troubleshoot contract-related problems, and maintain records for correspondence and documentation. - Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and other departments, drive/lead specific projects and initiatives within the category, provide regular reports on KPIs, SLAs, and contract performance, and ensure general and legal compliance regarding quality, health, safety, sustainability, and the environment. - Work with the global and regional procurement hubs to support the roll-out of the new contingent labour process & policy. Qualifications: - Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, and/or category management, preferably within an engineering/consultancy organization. - Commercial awareness with knowledge of contingent and 3rd party labour, procedures, and compliance. - Proficient in creating and delivering presentations to a global/broad audience, strong analytical skills, including Excel proficiency, and familiarity with Procurement systems, eSourcing tools, and MS Office. - Ability to manage workload independently, experience in running RFx processes, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and organized approach with a structured and methodical planning. - Professional qualification/training in Procurement or related discipline, superior communication skills in English.
