Role Overview

The Category Manager F&V will own the strategy, growth, and profitability of the fresh produce vertical. The role involves assortment planning, sourcing, vendor management, pricing, and supply chain optimization, ensuring premium quality and consumer delight. Candidates with F&V category management experience or agriculture/supply chain educational background will be highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and execute the growth roadmap for the F&V category
• Own and manage P&L with focus on revenue growth, margins, and cost efficiency
• Track performance and identify levers for assortment and profitability improvement
• Develop strong partnerships with vendors, farmers, and suppliers to ensure quality and consistent availability
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of engagement
• Strengthen backward linkages in supply for premium product quality
• Apply agricultural knowledge to optimize procurement, cold-chain, and logistics
• Reduce wastage through accurate demand forecasting and efficient inventory management
• Ensure freshness and compliance with food safety and regulatory standards
• Curate seasonal assortments and premium product launches
• Collaborate with marketing to plan promotions, campaigns, and consumer engagement activities
• Ensure top-class experience aligned with brand's premium positioning

Requirements

• 25 years of experience, with at least 1 years in Fruits & Vegetables category management
• Proven track record of P&L management in a relevant category
• Educational background in Agriculture / Food Technology / Supply Chain highly preferred
• In-depth knowledge of harvesting cycles, agricultural practices, cold storage, and logistics
• Strong vendor management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Data-driven with advanced Excel/analytics proficiency
• High ownership, agility, and ability to thrive in a premium, high-growth environment

Mandatory Requirements

• 35 years of experience, with at least 2 years in Fruits & Vegetables category management
• Proven track record of P&L management in a relevant category
• In-depth knowledge of harvesting cycles, agricultural practices, cold storage, and logistics
• Strong vendor management, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
• Data-driven with advanced Excel/analytics proficiency
• High ownership, agility, and ability to thrive in a premium, high-growth environment

Preferred Requirements

• Educational background in Agriculture / Food Technology / Supply Chain highly preferred
• Candidates with F&V category management experience or agriculture/supply chain educational background will be highly preferred
