Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Education/ Career Counselor to join our team in Cochin. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for prospective students, providing comprehensive guidance on our IT training programs, career pathways, and admission processes. This role is crucial in helping individuals make informed decisions about their professional future with Future Optima.

Key Responsibilities

• Counseling and Guidance: Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions (in-person, phone, or virtual) with prospective students to understand their career aspirations, educational background, and training needs.
• Program Expertise: Provide detailed and accurate information about our IT courses, certifications, curriculum, fees, schedules, and placement assistance.
• Lead Management: Effectively manage and nurture leads generated through various channels (online inquiries, referrals, marketing events, etc.) to meet enrollment targets.
• Conversion and Admissions: Guide candidates through the entire admissions process, including application, documentation, and fee payment.
• Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with students and parents (where applicable) throughout the enrollment journey.
• Market Feedback: Collect and relay market and competitor feedback to the management and marketing teams to help refine program offerings and strategies.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all counseling activities, admissions data, and enrollment statistics using the company's CRM system.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in an Education Counselor, Career Counselor, or Admissions role, preferably within the education, training, or IT industry.
• Education: A Bachelor's degree in any field. A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
• Industry Knowledge: A basic understanding of the IT/Technology training landscape and common career paths (e.g., Software Development, Data Science, Cybersecurity) is highly desirable.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and Malayalam (required for the Cochin market) with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively.
• Sales Acumen: Demonstrated ability to achieve enrollment targets and meet sales goals.
• Software Proficiency: Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and experience with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
