Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Understands and calculates all the loads on the parts/system
  • Develop 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings for motorcycle structural components, subsystems including frames, subframes, and swingarms.
  • Apply principles of Design for Manufacturing (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), Design for Serviceability (DFS) and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) to all projects.
  • Choose appropriate materials based on factors such as strength, weight, cost, and durability.
  • Basic understanding of the functions of chassis systems, such as suspension and brakes, with a deeper knowledge of calipers, discs, master cylinders, and combi-brake systems.
  • Perform structural analyses and simulations to validate design performance under various conditions.
  • Work closely with teams across engineering disciplines, including powertrain, electrical, prototyping, costing, assembly and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of components.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of design processes, decisions, and specifications

Technical Competencies:
  • Proficiency in CAD software (Preferably in Creo however further training will be provided).
  • Strong understanding of simulation tools for structural and thermal.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as Assembly, Welding, Casting, Forging, and Machining
