Job Description

  • Check technical requirements with vendor specifications and perform the first round of negotiations for various categories of items.
  • Float enquiries for assigned items based on user requirements and match the correctness of technical requirements provided by users and those given by vendors.
  • Raise any shortcomings to Sr. Buyer/Buying Manager and provide details to buying managers for finalizing deals with vendors.
  • Order finalized items and make appropriate entries in the SAP system.
  • Respond timely to and resolve internal and external audit issues related to procurement, escalating them to Sr. Buyer/Buying Manager when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements
  • Tech / B.E. degree.
  • 2-6 years of experience in procurement, category sourcing, and manufacturing.
  • Possess an analytical mindset and good written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of equipment and process/maintenance activities is required.
  • Demonstrate commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are essential.
