Position Overview:

As a key member of the Procurement team, you will collaborate with cross-functional departments and work closely with approved vendors to ensure reliable, cost-effective and high-quality supply of raw materials for Solar PV Ingot and Wafer manufacturing. Your role directly supports improvements in production efficiency, productivity, and material quality across the manufacturing process.

Role & responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end procurement of raw materials for the Solar PV Ingot and Wafer manufacturing plant, ensuring timely and uninterrupted supply.
• Review production and maintenance schedules and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely creation of Purchase Requisitions (PR) and technical specifications.
• Plan material requirements based on consumption, forecasts, and inventory levels.
• Issue RFx (RFQ/RFP) to qualified bidders and drive the complete sourcing process.
• Monitor market and price trends to optimize purchase decisions, including stock planning and cost risk mitigation. Drive cost-reduction initiatives through negotiation, alternate sourcing, and long-term contracting.
• Prepare and evaluate techno-commercial comparison statements for received bids.
• Conduct commercial discussions and negotiations to achieve budgeted prices, favorable terms, and timely deliveries. Prepare proposals for management approval for PO finalization.
• Ensure timely preparation, release, and supplier acceptance of Purchase Orders (PO/SO).
• Track order execution, shipment schedules, and deliveries to avoid production delays.
• Coordinate with Finance for timely payments and LC processing as per agreed terms.
• Collect feedback from Production, Quality, Stores, and Engineering to evaluate supplier performance.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, commercial data, price history, and contract documents.
• Develop and expand the supplier base through market research and benchmarking.
• Generate periodic MIS reports on cost savings, PO status, supplier performance, and market trends.
