Role Overview:

Business Development Consultant

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Acquisition & Market Development

  • Identify, engage, and onboard Government ministries, PSUs, and allied institutions.
  • Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with procurement, product development and project management divisions, industry associations, and policy-making bodies.
  • Pitching & Consulting Engagements

  • Pitch PriceWatchs platform as well as custom consulting and research projects tailored to Government & PSU requirements.
  • Deliver presentations, demos, and solution workshops to client stakeholders.
  • Tender & Documentation Management

  • Monitor and participate in tenders, RFPs, and empanelment opportunities.
  • Manage end-to-end documentation for proposals, compliance forms, and technical-commercial submissions.
  • Commercials & Negotiation

  • Drive

    commercial discussions, pricing negotiations, and contract finalization

    with PSU/Government clients.
  • Ensure alignment with Government procurement guidelines and PSU financial processes.
  • Execution & Liaisoning

  • Oversee smooth execution of projects including

    invoicing, payment follow-ups, and client coordination

    .
  • Liaison with PSU officials, finance, and audit departments for seamless business operations.
  • Insights & Internal Collaboration

  • Track Government policies, budget allocations, market and procurement trends in energy, chemicals, and allied industries.
  • Provide continuous feedback to research and product teams for PSU-specific requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Economics, or related fields; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in Business Development, preferably in B2B SaaS, consulting, or market intelligence.
  • Proven experience in

    tender bidding, documentation, and commercial negotiations

    .
  • Strong understanding of Government procurement systems, PSU operations, and compliance frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
