As on date, Sify has 12 Data Center locations spread across India and offers approximately 200MW of IT power to the market with 2 more to be ready by the end of the year. The latest iteration of our Data Centers is AI ready, liquid cooled certified for GPX ready workloads. Apart from these, Sify has also built Data Centers for multiple state governments to house and expand their digital ambitions.

Role Overview:

Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development & Sales Ownership:

    • Own and drive colocation sales targets in the Delhi NCR region.
    • Develop a robust funnel of high-value enterprise opportunities.
    • Achieve quarterly and annual booking and revenue targets.
  • Market & Customer Engagement:

    • Engage and build trusted relationships with

      CIOs

      in large and mid-sized enterprises.
    • Identify and convert strategic colocation opportunities in key verticals: BFSI, IT/ITES, Manufacturing, Pharma, and Conglomerates.
  • GCC/GDC Focus:

    • Target and map

      existing and upcoming GCCs/GDCs

      in Delhi NCR for data center expansion and edge deployment needs.
    • Work closely with consultants, real estate advisors, and global decision-making units.
  • Collaboration & Internal Coordination:

    • Collaborate with Pre-sales, Solution Engineering, Legal, and Delivery teams to create winning solutions and proposals.
    • Prepare and present compelling proposals, commercial models, and strategic pitches.
  • Market Intelligence & Reporting:

    • Provide timely intelligence on market trends, competition, pricing strategies, and customer technology shifts.
    • Maintain accurate opportunity pipeline in CRM and report regularly to leadership.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience:

    • 10+ years of experience in enterprise sales, preferably in

      colocation, datacenter, managed hosting, or hybrid cloud

      environments.
    • Demonstrated success in closing

      multi-crore colocation or infrastructure deals

      in the North India enterprise segment.
  • Network:

    • Strong CXO-level network across private enterprises and deep exposure to

      IT/ITES, GCCs, and digital-native companies

      in Delhi NCR.
  • Skills:

    • Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to translate customer needs into commercially viable and technically feasible solutions.
    • Strong verbal and written communication, proposal writing, and presentation skills.
  • Education:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/IT/Business; MBA preferred.
