Job Description

Business Development Manager Remote Pilot Training

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Development & Strategy

  • Identify potential markets, clients, and institutions (colleges, universities, corporates, government bodies) for drone pilot training programs.
  • Develop and implement business growth strategies for short-term and long-term expansion.
  • Conduct competitor and market analysis to identify emerging trends in drone education and certification.

2. Sales & Partnerships

  • Generate leads and convert them into enrollments or partnerships.
  • Build relationships with government departments, defense establishments, drone manufacturers, and private companies requiring certified drone pilots.
  • Collaborate with academic institutions to introduce drone pilot training courses under skill development or vocational training programs.
  • Develop B2B and B2C sales channels for training programs.

3. Marketing & Brand Promotion

  • Coordinate with the marketing team to design campaigns, webinars, and events promoting drone pilot training.
  • Represent the organization at expos, conferences, and drone-related forums.
  • Prepare and deliver impactful presentations, proposals, and tenders for institutional clients.

4. Operations Coordination

  • Liaise with training and technical teams to ensure smooth execution of training batches.
  • Gather client and trainee feedback to improve the quality and market relevance of training programs.
  • Ensure compliance with DGCA/CAA guidelines for Remote Pilot Training Organizations (RPTOs).

5. Reporting & Analysis

  • Maintain CRM records and track leads, conversions, and revenue performance.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly business performance reports.
  • Provide data-driven insights for planning future batches and expansions.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Aviation, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 48 years of experience in

    business development, training sales, aviation, or drone industry

    .
  • Knowledge of

    DGCA regulations

    , drone classifications, and pilot licensing frameworks.
  • Strong networking, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with

    B2B and institutional sales

    (colleges, government tenders, or corporate tie-ups).
  • Ability to understand technical and regulatory aspects of drone pilot training.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a dynamic, tech-oriented environment.
