Job Description

Business Development Manager (India Market) Our client is the APAC regional headquarters (excluding China), focusing on regional operations, marketing, investment, and R&D in battery technology. As a key player in electric vehicle and energy storage systems, the company seeks a Business Development Manager to grow its presence in the Indian market. The ideal candidate will identify and pursue new business opportunities related to battery cells for electric vehicles (EV), as well as battery energy storage systems (BESS) projects. This role requires a deep understanding of the Indian automotive landscape and proven experience in engaging with Indian counterparts. Responsibilities: Conduct market research on the EV and battery energy storage sectors, including two- and three-wheelers, and grid-scale projects. Build strong relationships with stakeholders like HQ, OEMs, distributors, and JV partners. Lead proposals, negotiations, and performance tracking. Collaborate with product and tech teams to meet market needs. Represent the company at industry events. Qualifications : Bachelor’s in business/engineering (MBA preferred), 5+ years in BD or sales, understanding of the Indian automotive industry, strong communication and negotiation skills.
