Job Title: Business Development Manager (BDM) Jewellery Industry

Position Summary:

The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue growth. This role involves exploring new markets (domestic & international), developing partnerships with retailers, distributors, and corporate clients, and promoting the brand through strategic initiatives. The BDM ensures business expansion while maintaining alignment with the companys vision and market trends.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Growth & Sales Development

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in retail, wholesale, export, and corporate segments.
  • Achieve sales and revenue targets by expanding the client base.
  • Prepare and execute business plans to enter new markets.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with clients.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with existing and potential customers.
  • Maintain regular follow-ups and ensure a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Represent the brand in client meetings, exhibitions, and trade shows.

3. Market Research & Strategy

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and growth opportunities.
  • Provide insights on product development and customer preferences.
  • Work with the marketing team to design campaigns and promotional activities.

4. Brand & Product Promotion

  • Promote the company’s jewellery collections to target customers.
  • Collaborate with the design and merchandising team for customized offerings.
  • Participate in exhibitions, fashion/jewellery shows, and corporate events.

5. Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare sales forecasts, business reports, and performance analysis for management.
  • Coordinate with production, logistics, and finance teams for smooth execution of orders.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal/regulatory requirements.

  • Strong business development and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
  • Market knowledge of gold, diamond, and gemstone jewellery (domestic & international).
  • Analytical and strategic thinking ability.
  • Self-motivated, result-oriented, and target-driven personality.

Educational & Experience Requirements:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development/sales (preferably in jewellery, luxury, or retail industry).
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and expanding markets.
  • Experience in international markets and exports is an added advantage.
