Job Description

What the Role Entails

As Business Development Manager Leasing Sales, you will be a key player in growing SAT Leasing’s customer base and revenues. You will lead sales efforts, build relationships with target clients, and drive business in segments that align with our strategy.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, target, and develop new business opportunities in enterprises, government / PSU clients, educational institutions, etc., to lease IT infrastructure.
  • Build and nurture a pipeline of prospects and convert them into customers.
  • Present SAT Leasing’s solutions (devices, servers, networks, etc.), articulate benefits of leasing vs capital purchase, and close deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (product, operations, finance, engineering) to design proposals / customise offerings as per client needs.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of lease in coordination with finance / legal.
  • Achieve / exceed assigned sales targets (volume, revenue, margin).
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer feedback to sharpen our offerings.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and insights to senior management.

What We Are Looking For

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience:

    Proven track record (say 3-7 years) in B2B sales / business development, ideally in IT hardware, leasing / financing, or related technology infrastructure.
  • Knowledge:

    Strong understanding of IT infrastructure (PCs, servers, networking, etc.); ability to articulate technical requirements & financial benefits.
  • Client segments:

    Experience with enterprise / government / PSU / educational institution clients is a big plus.
  • Sales skills:

    Excellent relationship building, negotiation, closing skills. Comfortable managing long sales cycles.
  • Business acumen:

    Understand leasing / rental / financing business models, cost vs benefit, margin pressures.
  • Communication:

    Strong verbal & written communication skills; ability to deliver compelling presentations & proposals.
  • Self-starter & target driven:

    Willing to travel, agile / proactive, able to work in a startup / scale-up mode.
