What Youll Do As a Solar Site Engineer, you will supervise and manage the execution of solar power plants, ensuring compliance with design, safety, and quality standards. Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like: Installation & Construction Oversight Supervise the installation of solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, and other equipment Ensure work is carried out in line with approved designs, drawings, and specifications Inspect construction materials and workmanship to maintain quality standards Project Management Monitor site progress against project schedules and budgets Prepare and submit regular site progress reports in prescribed formats Manage day-to-day operations of EPC teams, contractors, and laborers Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with EPC contractors, vendors, local authorities, and clients for smooth execution Communicate updates and address technical or project concerns with stakeholders Attend project review meetings and provide technical input Quality & Safety Compliance Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and quality checks Ensure corrective actions are taken promptly to mitigate risks Site Inspections & Commissioning Conduct tests and commissioning activities to verify system performance Provide troubleshooting support during installation and system operations Ensure accurate documentation of inspections, commissioning, and site activities Material & Documentation Management Oversee material receipt, joint inspection, and certification at the site Maintain accurate records of project progress, deviations, and site documentation Client Relations & Support Provide basic training to client representatives and site personnel Maintain strong professional relationships with clients through transparent communication What We’re Looking For Must-Haves Bachelor’s/Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering 2–4 years of experience in solar site execution (C&I or utility-scale preferred) Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, mounting structures, and BoS Hands-on experience with CAD tools and ability to interpret technical drawings Strong problem-solving, analytical, and reporting skills Good communication skills to coordinate with contractors, vendors, and clients Ability and willingness to work at heights and in varied weather conditions Bonus If You Have: Prior experience commissioning C&I rooftop or ground-mounted solar projects Knowledge of SCADA, monitoring systems, and hybrid/ESS integration Experience managing multiple sites simultaneously
