Solar Project Manager

What Youll Do

As our Solar Project Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end execution of solar projects, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards.

Your Day-to-Day Will Look Like:

Project Planning & Execution

• Develop detailed project schedules, budgets, and execution strategies
• Coordinate with engineering teams for design validation and technical optimization
• Identify project risks early and implement mitigation strategies

Procurement & Vendor Management

• Finalize and manage contractors, vendors, and service providers
• Oversee procurement, logistics, and delivery schedules
• Ensure quality and cost control across all vendor relationships
  

Site Execution & Supervision

• Lead site teams across civil, mechanical, and electrical workstreams
• Monitor daily/weekly progress and resolve on-ground bottlenecks promptly
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards at all times

Compliance & Approvals

• Liaise with DISCOMs, CEIG, and statutory authorities for permits and grid approvals
• Ensure execution complies with MNRE, CEA, IEC, and other regulatory standards

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and lenders
• Provide regular progress updates, reports, and presentations
• Manage contractual obligations, claims, and scope changes

Financial Management

• Monitor project budgets, cash flows, and overall profitability
• Approve vendor/contractor bills and raise client invoices as per milestones
• Maintain strict financial discipline and cost control

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Oversee pre-commissioning, testing, and commissioning activities
• Ensure preparation of as-built drawings, test reports, and O&M documentation
• Smoothly transition projects to the O&M team post-handover

What Were Looking For

Must-Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 4–6 years of experience in managing solar EPC projects (C&I focus preferred)
• Strong technical knowledge of solar plant design, engineering, procurement, and construction
• Familiarity with DISCOM/MNRE policies, grid codes, and CEIG regulations
• Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera, MS Project, or equivalent)
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Strong financial acumen with contract management experience
• Willingness to travel extensively to project sites across India

Bonus If You Have:

• Experience managing utility-scale solar projects or hybrid/ESS systems
• Exposure to international project management standards and practices
• Proven track record of leading multi-site project portfolios
