Job Description

Business Development Managers

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to expand our presence in North America and Australasia.
  • Identify, target, and engage prospective clients through market research, outbound outreach, referrals, and industry events.
  • Understand client needs and offer tailored solutions involving our engineering design and detailing services.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and RFP responses to clients across regions.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation and opportunity development to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with stakeholders in the AEC (Architecture, Engineering & Construction) ecosystem.
  • Collaborate with internal engineering, design, and operations teams to ensure accurate project scoping and seamless project delivery.
  • Stay informed on local and international construction regulations, BIM mandates, and digital engineering trends.
  • Manage and update CRM system with accurate sales data, forecasts, and activity reports, and meet KPIs.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong network in one or more target regions will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of international construction standards (e.g., AISC, Eurocode, AS/NZS, etc).
  • Ability to understand and explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently across time zones.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for client meetings, expos, or events (Candidates with valid US, Australia and NZ visa will be preferred).

Preferred Skills:

  • A deep understanding of the steel fabrication and construction management process is essential to communicate effectively with clients.
  • The ability to leverage strong industry relationships is key to establishing credibility.
  • A strong grasp of the technical aspects of detailing, BIM, and structural design is necessary to articulate the company's value proposition.
  • The ability to communicate a superior value proposition to prospective clients is critical for new business.
  • Experience in targeted outreach and building relationships with key decision-makers (such as VPs of Operations or Chief Estimators) is required.
  • The ability to build and manage a sales pipeline is necessary to achieve business growth.
  • A results-driven approach is needed to attract high-value clients and form long-term partnerships.
