Job Description

A Reputable Travel DMC with offices in Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, and Georgia is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager, based in Malaysia, to promote and drive the growth of our outbound travel services. The ideal candidate must be from Malaysia and have experience working with travel agents in the country. The successful candidate will be responsible for increasing the productivity and market share of our travel DMC services in Malaysia, focusing on business expansion, client acquisition, and brand promotion.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, cold outreach, and events
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand the customer base and meet revenue targets
  • Build, maintain, and deepen client and partner relationships to promote repeat business
  • Prepare and present proposals, pitches, and business cases to potential clients
  • Negotiate and close contracts with B2B/ Corporate .
  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to align strategies and ensure smooth handoffs .
  • Manage sales pipeline in CRM and produce reports on lead generation, deals, and revenue projections
  • Attend conferences, trade shows, and industry events to expand networks and gather market insights
  • Should analyze market trends and competition and design strategy accordingly.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Minimum Qualification: Bachelor s degree in any field; an MBA in Travel & Tourism is highly preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years in business development or sales, with a strong background in the outbound travel industry and experience working with travel agents in India.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving growth in the Malaysian market.
  • In-depth knowledge of the travel industry, including key destinations and market trends in Malaysia.
  • Strong understanding of business development strategies and sales techniques.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders.
  • Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive in approach.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia will be an added advantage.
