Job Description

1. Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute strategies to build and expand online sales through platforms such as company website, IndiaMart, TradeIndia, and other B2B/B2C portals.
  • Establish

    tele-calling based sales structure

    to enhance dealer/distributor/customer engagement.
  • Create

    monthly, quarterly

    and annual sales projections

    with clear target benchmarks.
  • Ensure performance is

    output-driven with measurable KPIs

    , aligned with corporate growth goals.

2. Team Management & Training

  • Recruit, train and lead online sales & marketing staff, ensuring product knowledge and customer engagement skills are at the highest level.
  • Conduct

    regular training programs

    on sales techniques, product portfolio and customer handling.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance with continuous improvement initiatives.

3. Pricing, Costing & Profitability

  • Work with production and finance teams to prepare

    accurate costing models

    , ensuring manufacturing cost, marketing expenses, and deductions are factored in.
  • Design and implement competitive yet profitable

    pricing strategies

    for online channels.
  • Analyze cost-to-sales ratio and implement corrective actions to maximize profitability.

4. Online Marketing & Branding

  • Oversee digital marketing campaigns across social media, email, and other online platforms.
  • Guide the marketing staff on

    social media engagement, product awareness campaigns, and lead generation activities

    .
  • Strengthen the company's

    online brand presence

    by coordinating with design, content, and technical teams.

5. Reporting & Projection Management

  • Provide

    detailed reports and presentations

    on sales progress, projections, and financial impact to senior management.
  • Recommend improvements based on

    market analysis, competitor activities, and customer feedback

    .
  • Ensure timely execution of sales plans with complete accountability.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience:

    Minimum 8-10 years of proven experience in

    Business Development / Online Sales / Marketing

    within the

    Agricultural Pesticides Industry

    (Mandatory).
  • Education:

    MBA in Marketing/Agri-Business or Degree in Agricultural Sciences / Pesticide Management. Candidates with both will be given first preference.
  • Skills & Competencies:

    • Strong leadership and people management skills.
    • Ability to design and implement

      sales strategies, costing models and projection plans

      .
    • In-depth knowledge of pesticide market dynamics, dealer/distributor networks, and online sales platforms.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation and customer relationship management.
    • Digital marketing exposure (social media, online branding, lead generation).
