Business Development Associate The Business Development Associate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, and building strategic partnerships in the rooftop solar sector. This role involves lead generation, client acquisition, and developing customized solar solutions to maximize business potential. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven professional with a strong understanding of solar technology, sales strategies, and industry regulations. Key Responsibilities Identify new business opportunities in the rooftop solar market. Develop and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including residential, commercial, and industrial clients. Collaborate with technical and project teams to design tailored solar solutions. Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital marketing. Prepare and deliver compelling sales proposals, quotations, and presentations. Negotiate contracts, close deals, and ensure a smooth transition to the project execution team. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets. Build partnerships with real estate developers, architects, and corporate clients for bulk installations. Work closely with the marketing team to develop campaigns that generate high-quality leads. Provide insights on customer pain points to create targeted messaging and content. Utilize digital marketing, social media, and offline channels to attract potential customers. Participate in promotional activities, events, and exhibitions to expand market reach. Maintain strong post-sales relationships to ensure customer satisfaction and long-term engagement. Gather feedback and provide insights to improve products and services. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field (MBA preferred). 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or project management within the solar sector. In-depth knowledge of rooftop solar systems, net metering, and financing models. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently and drive results in a competitive market. Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office, and digital marketing techniques. Preferred Experience Experience in the renewable energy industry, specifically rooftop solar. A strong network in the real estate, industrial, and commercial sectors. Familiarity with government solar policies, subsidies, and incentives.
