Business Credit Manager

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Economics, or related fields (MBA preferred).
• Strong understanding of credit underwriting, business financial analysis, and risk assessment.
• Good knowledge of SME/MSME business models, unsecured/secured business loans, and working capital products.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and credit assessment tools.
• Strong communication and coordination ability

Key Responsibilities:

1. Credit Evaluation & Decision Making

• Review and assess business loan proposals submitted by Relationship Officers.
• Analyse financial statements, cash flow, business performance, and collateral valuations.
• Make credit decisions within delegated authority or recommend cases for higher approval.
• Ensure thorough due diligence, risk identification, and accurate documentation.

2. Portfolio & Risk Management

• Monitor branch loan portfolio performance, including delinquency, restructuring, and early warning signals.
• Ensure compliance with internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and risk frameworks.
• Identify potential high-risk accounts and implement corrective measures.
• Conduct periodic reviews of existing loan accounts to ensure sustainability and profitability.

3. Operational & Compliance Oversight

• Ensure all loan files, documents, and approvals are complete, accurate, and properly archived.
• Coordinate with legal, compliance, and operations teams on loan disbursements, collateral registration, and policy updates.
• Support audit processes and resolve credit-related findings.

4. Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Supervise and guide Credit Officers and Relationship Officers in credit analysis and documentation.
• Provide training on credit policies, risk assessment, and underwriting standards.
• Work closely with the branch sales team to balance growth with prudent lending practices.
• Foster a culture of discipline, compliance, and continuous improvement

5. Business Support & Customer Service

• Participate in client visits when necessary to assess business operations and validate credit information.

Pay: ₹382,351.86 - ₹574,714.08 per year
