Business Analyst with Information Management and Governance

As an Information Management and Governance Business Analyst at our company, you will be a key player in our data transformation journey, focusing on unstructured content and preparing it for AI usage through effective classification, metadata processes, and governance. Your responsibilities will include: - Planning and conducting workshops and interviews to gather requirements from business, technical, and data governance stakeholders. - Eliciting, documenting, and prioritizing requirements for identifying, curating, and enriching critical information using methodologies like MoSCoW or RICE. - Developing epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria. To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications: - Demonstrated experience in information or data management, cataloging, metadata, and taxonomy development, as well as unstructured content management. - Proven ability in business process analysis, workshop facilitation, and stakeholder engagement across business, IT, and governance teams. - Track record of supporting digital transformation and information management initiatives in large corporate environments. - Hands-on experience with information governance and catalog or classification platforms like Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation, OpenText, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Box, or Google Workspace. - Strong documentation skills for business and functional requirements, user requirement specifications, agile user stories using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps, and support for testing and user acceptance. - Excellent communication, influencing, and change management skills to bridge the gap between business and technical audiences. - Basic knowledge of SQL or Python for profiling and quality sampling, along with experience in search or retrieval patterns for AI applications. - Experience in industries such as life sciences, financial services, or the public sector, with familiarity in GxP regulations for pharmaceutical contexts. - Relevant certifications such as CDMP, IGP, CIP, Agile BA, CBAP, Prosci, Change Management, PRINCE2, or Scrum would be a plus.
