Business Analyst – Healthcare + EMR

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Business Analyst with expertise in healthcare and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems. In this role, you will analyze EHR data, create documentation for data mappings, support secure solution development, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver efficient and innovative healthcare-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirements
• Analyze EHR data and create documentation around mapping to destination sources
• Design workflows and processes to support the transformation of EHR data into actionable outputs
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure developed solutions align with business needs
• Oversee requirements traceability to maintain alignment with project objectives
• Act as a subject matter expert on EMR/EHR systems such as Cerner, Epic, Athena, or Oracle Health
• Support Agile team ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
• Contribute to data pipeline development and documentation processes
• Ensure compliance with healthcare data standards and governance best practices
• Assist in managing changes to requirements and prioritizing efforts based on stakeholder and business objectives
• Create and maintain clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation for use by internal and external teams

Requirements

• 5-7 years of IT experience
• 3+ years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on healthcare and EMR
• Knowledge of EHR systems such as Cerner, Epic, Athena, or Oracle Health
• Expertise in requirements analysis, stakeholder management, and Agile methodology
• Background in healthcare workflows, compliance standards, and regulatory requirements
• Skills in analyzing and mapping EHR data to support interoperability
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, with a focus on secure solution hosting (AWS preferred)
• Proficiency in documenting and understanding data pipelines and transformation workflows
• Capability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders through effective communication techniques
• English language proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

• Understanding of advanced documentation strategies for healthcare information governance
• Experience with cutting-edge approaches to healthcare data transformation
• Capability to develop material to train internal and external stakeholders on workflows and systems
