About The Role

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire Business Analyst with 5+ years of industry experience in the P&C insurance domain and hands-on expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, or ClaimCenter.The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring smooth requirement gathering, gap analysis, solution design, and successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders (underwriters, claims adjusters, billing teams) to gather and analyze requirements.
  • Perform gap analysis between business needs and Guidewire out-of-the-box (OOTB) functionalities.
  • Document Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, User Stories, Process Flows, and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure requirements are well understood and implemented.
  • Support integration design discussions (CRM, payment gateways, rating engines, third-party services).
  • Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, validating results, and managing defects.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies - sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives.
  • Conduct end-user training and provide post-production support.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5 years of IT / Insurance industry experience, with at least 3-4 years as a Guidewire Business Analyst.
  • Strong knowledge of P&C Insurance processes - policy lifecycle, claims management, billing & payments.
  • Hands-on experience with Guidewire PolicyCenter / BillingCenter / ClaimCenter.
  • Familiarity with Guidewire Data Model, Product Model, and Integration Layer.
  • Strong expertise in requirement gathering, documentation, and user story creation.
  • Experience in Agile (Scrum/SAFe) environments.
  • Good understanding of SQL queries for data validation.
  • Tools : JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Postman.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Guidewire certification (PolicyCenter/ClaimCenter/BillingCenter BA or Specialist).
  • Exposure to Guidewire Cloud implementations.
  • Experience working with global clients in insurance domain transformation projects
