Business Analyst – Cyber Defense

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud engineering, and business teams to gather, analyze, and document security requirements.
• Evaluate and document current cloud security controls and IAM processes across

  AWS, Azure, or GCP

  environments.
• Perform

  gap analysis

  against

  NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), NIST 800-53, 800-171

  , and other standards.
• Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements for cloud security and IAM solutions.
• Support the design and implementation of cloud security

  policies, procedures, and best practices

  .
• Assist in

  risk assessments, threat modeling, and security posture evaluations

  for cloud-hosted applications.
• Contribute to

  project management deliverables

  (scope, plan, execution, monitoring, reporting).
• Partner with IAM teams to enhance

  access governance, RBAC, PAM, and authentication workflows

  .
• Prepare

  dashboards, reports, and presentations

  for leadership and auditors.
• Monitor regulatory/compliance changes and assess impact on cloud security strategies.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in

  Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity

  , or related field.

• 5–10 years

  of Business Analyst experience in

  cybersecurity or cloud environments

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  cloud platforms

  (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hosting models.
• Hands-on experience with

  IAM tools

  (Okta, Azure AD, SailPoint, CyberArk).
• Familiarity with

  NIST frameworks (CSF, 800-53, 800-171)

  and cloud security standards (CIS, ISO 27017).
• Strong

  analytical, documentation, and communication skills

  .
• Experience working in

  Agile environments

  with cross-functional teams.

Mandatory Skills

• Agile project experience, including frameworks and tools.
• Ability to educate stakeholders (Product Owners, Business Partners) in Agile ways of working.
• Understanding of

  systems engineering concepts, data/process analysis, and modeling

  .
• Degree with

  4–7 years of IT experience

  .
