Understand the business goals, target markets, competitive landscape for any new domain (e.g. real estate, hospitality, travel).
Define brand purpose, values, vision, mission, tone of voice, personality.
Create brand positioning that is unique, relevant, and sustainable.
Craft brand narratives and stories that connect emotionally with customers / target audience. o Develop the brand’s “story arc” – how it started, what it stands for, why it matters, how it evolves.
Ensure consistency of stories across all brand touchpoints (online, offline, experiences, content, etc.).
Stay updated on industry trends, culture, technology, consumer behaviour.
Perform market research (qualitative and quantitative), competitor analysis, audience analysis.
Guide and collaborate with creative teams (content creators, copywriters, designers) to ensure brand expression is aligned with strategy/story.
Approve / review creative briefs; ensure creative outputs are high-impact and on strategy.
Oversee creation of brand assets, identity, guidelines (visual, verbal etc.).
Plan and oversee brand launches and campaigns (in any domain you operate in).
Define metrics/KPIs for brand health (awareness, perception, preference, loyalty etc.).
Monitor performance, track data, analyse where things are working/where to adjust.
Build, nurture, mentor internal teams (content, storytelling, creative) or external partners/agencies.
Encourage continuous learning, foster creativity. o Ensure processes in place so work is well managed (briefs, reviews, timelines).
Work closely with marketing, operations, product, sales etc. to ensure brand strategy is embedded in everything.
Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure brand clarity and alignment across functions.
• Experience: Probably 3+ years (or appropriate level) in brand strategy / planning / branding / marketing, ideally with launch of new brands or rebranding.
• Demonstrated experience in brand building across multiple domains (e.g. hospitality, real estate, travel desirable).
• Excellent storytelling skills — verbal and written. Able to craft compelling narratives.
• Creative mindset + curious & always learning.
• Strong analytical abilities: able to turn data / insights into strategy.
• Up to date with latest marketing / branding / digital trends, consumer behavior, social media etc
• Leadership experience: managing or mentoring team members, guiding content creation etc
• Good project management skills: managing multiple initiatives, stakeholders, meeting timelines.
• Strong presentation & communication skills, able to influence across levels
