Job Description

The purpose of this role is to ensure the achievement of business targets and the enhancement of profitability in the assigned area by providing effective leadership, planning resources, monitoring people performance, and market changes. It also involves distribution building, retail development, and the recruitment of BDMs, Agency Partners, and Advisors. You will be responsible for building a robust variable distribution network with high productivity and high penetration using the Agency Partner model. The job also involves the challenge of a short gestation period to hire, develop, and deliver new business in a new vertical due to continuous business demands. Additionally, managing the scarcity of skilled manpower and meeting the expectations of high performers through innovative means are key challenges. Another challenge is managing attrition at the frontline due to competition. Key Result Areas: KRA1: Ensure budget capacitization of BDMs to induct them into the business workflow. This includes hiring qualified BDMs to maintain 100% FYP capacity, guiding them in recruiting Agency Partners and Advisors, monitoring their performance, and setting goals. KRA2: Ensure training and development of the team to enhance performance. Collaborate with the Sales Training team, ensure attendance of trained advisor recruits in exams, and conduct training on recruitment and selling skills. KRA3: Achieve business targets set through and with the team by meeting functional goals. Monitor performance on predefined parameters, ensure continuous acquisition of advisors, and drive benchmarks to motivate the team. KRA4: Track attrition and persistency to achieve business health for the territory. Monitor attrition, ensure a high premium percentile, and analyze the product mix. KRA5: Identify business opportunities through market intelligence. Gain market intelligence, implement strategies to tap potential markets, and recruit advisors in unexploited areas. KRA6: Relationship Management. Partner with other departments for sales support and manage escalations. KRA7: Team Management. Provide on-the-job training, mentor, supervise, and coach the team, and ensure skill enhancement through job rotation and classroom training.
