Bookkeeper

GigaBrands is seeking a talented and experienced Finance Specialist (Bookkeeper) to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for managing financial records, reviewing bank statements, reconciling transactions, and handling other financial responsibilities including US state tax paperwork. Responsibilities:

• Financial Record Management: Compile and analyze account information for financial records.
• Bank Statement Reconciliation: Review and reconcile bank statements to ensure the accuracy of financial statements.
• Prepare Tax Paperwork: Assist in preparing and filing U.S. state tax returns and other relevant documents.
• Vendor and Client Communication: Manage vendor/supplier/client billing and ensure supporting documentation is complete. Address any missing invoices or past dues.
• Payroll Entries: Prepare and record payroll entries in the accounting system.
• Financial Analysis: Study financial trends and provide insights on future business needs.
• Track Coaching Stats: Send monthly emails to executives with a Google sheet tracker that includes coaching call stats and revenue percentage changes.
• Maintain Financial Accuracy: Produce work with high accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

• Accounting Knowledge: Basic accounting understanding and best practices.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience in a similar role or relevant field.
• Tech Savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets. Knowledge of accounting software such as XERO, Quickbooks, or FreshBooks is a plus.
• Attention to Detail: High accuracy in financial transactions and data entry.
• Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Work Environment: You will need a laptop or desktop with a minimum of 8GB RAM, dual monitors, a suitable home office space, a working headset, and video camera. An internet connection of at least 20 Mbps is required.
• English Language: Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written.

Other Requirements:

• Working Hours: This is a full-time, 40 hours per week role with flexible hours. However, you must dedicate at least 4 hours between 9am-7pm EST.
• Communication Tools: Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Slides) and productivity/project management tools such as Slack.
• Experience: Preferably experienced with online/remote/virtual work.
