We are an accounting firm based in North America. We are seeking a highly skilled and meticulous Remote Overseas Bookkeeper to manage the financial records of our small and medium-sized business clients. 1) Key Responsibilities Full-Cycle Bookkeeping: Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bookkeeping Account Reconciliation: Complete timely and accurate reconciliation of bank accounts, credit card statements, and intercompany accounts. Government Remittances: Assist clients with the calculation and preparation of various Canadian government remittances, including: GST/HST (Goods and Services Tax / Harmonized Sales Tax) Payroll Source Deductions (e.g., CPP, EI, Income Tax) Payroll Processing: Process and manage client payroll, including entering hours, processing paycheques, and preparing T4 Slips and other annual forms. Month-End/Year-End Close: Execute month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing and posting necessary adjusting and accrual journal entries. 2) Qualifications & Requirements Technical Skills Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping. Tax Compliance: Understanding tax principles (payroll, VAT, Income tax). Knowledge of Canada tax is a plus. Software Proficiency: Knowledge of QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a plus. Use Excel, Google sheet 3) Personal & Logistics Language: Fluent in professional English (written and verbal) is mandatory. Availability: Must be able to align a significant portion of the workday with the Eastern Time (ET) Zone for real-time collaboration with the Canadian team and clients.
