Position Summary
The BIM Manager will lead the implementation and coordination of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes across multiple F&B, retail, and commercial fit-out projects. This role ensures that BIM standards, workflows, and deliverables are maintained throughout the design and construction phases to achieve efficient project delivery, design accuracy, and cross-discipline collaboration. Experience working on Middle East projects and familiarity with regional standards, authorities’ requirements, and fast-track retail environments will be a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- BIM Strategy & Implementation
- Develop, implement, and maintain BIM execution plans (BEP) for all projects.
- Establish and enforce BIM standards, templates, and best practices across all design and engineering disciplines.
- Lead BIM coordination workshops and ensure proper integration between architectural, structural, and MEP models.
- Project Coordination & Delivery
- Manage and oversee BIM workflows from concept through construction documentation.
- Support design teams in model development, data accuracy, and clash detection using BIM tools.
- Ensure all project models align with client requirements, brand standards, and local authority regulations.
- Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and training to in-house design teams, consultants, and contractors.
- Evaluate and implement new BIM technologies and workflows to improve efficiency and collaboration.
- Coordinate with external consultants, suppliers, and project managers to ensure smooth information exchange.
- Quality Control & Reporting
- Conduct model audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with BIM protocols.
- Prepare and deliver project-specific BIM progress reports and coordination summaries.
- Manage model versioning, file naming conventions, and digital asset management systems.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years of professional experience, with at least 3–5 years in a BIM management role.
- Proven experience in F&B, retail, or commercial projects (fit-out and design coordination).
- Middle East experience preferred, with understanding of regional building codes, authority submission standards, and fast-track retail delivery processes.
- Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Dynamo, and BIM 360 (or equivalent platforms).
- Familiar with 3D coordination, clash detection, and construction documentation workflows.
