Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Billing Engineer with prior experience in industrial painting works. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and verifying bills, managing measurements, coordinating with clients and internal teams, and ensuring timely invoicing and payment follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare client and subcontractor bills based on BOQ, measurements, and contractual terms.

• Conduct and verify site measurements and support JMR (Joint Measurement Record) preparation.

• Track paint and consumable usage vs actual work done; flag discrepancies.

• Maintain detailed records of Work Orders, POs, and billing status.

• Coordinate with procurement for vendor bills and ensure accurate material reconciliation.

• Submit bills to client along with all required documentation (photos, JMRs, QC reports, etc.)

• Follow up with clients for certification and timely release of payments.

• Prepare monthly MIS and site-wise billing summaries for internal management.

• Assist in cost tracking, job profitability analysis, and audits.

• Highlight overconsumption, rework, or scope deviations to project management.

Qualifications

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering

• 2–5 years of billing experience, preferably in industrial painting or EPC projects

• Strong Excel skills; working knowledge of AutoCAD and billing/ERP software preferred

• Good communication and documentation skills

• Ability to coordinate with site teams and clients; willingness to travel as needed
