Role OverviewThe Billing and Estimation Manager will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, validating quantities, and managing all client and subcontractor billing activities. This role requires strong analytical ability, knowledge of interior works, and hands-on expertise in BOQ preparation, cost control, and project documentation. Key Roles and Responsibilities 1. Estimation & BOQ PreparationPrepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs based on drawings, specifications, and client requirements. Analyze designs, materials, and execution scope to ensure accuracy in pricing and quantity take-offs. Coordinate with design and project teams to finalize scope and technical details before estimation. Evaluate vendor quotations and prepare comparative statements for management review. Update cost databases and ensure competitive yet profitable pricing for tenders and bids. 2. Billing & Measurement Prepare client bills (RA / final bills) with accurate quantity measurements and site validations. Verify and process subcontractor and vendor bills as per work completion and terms of agreement. Conduct site measurements jointly with the project/site team to ensure billing accuracy. Maintain billing logs, supporting documents, and project-wise cost summaries. Coordinate with the finance and project departments for timely invoice submissions and follow-ups. 3. Cost Monitoring & Control : Track budget utilization and compare actual site progress with estimated costs. Identify cost overruns, variations, and scope changes, and report to the management promptly. Support management in value engineering to improve cost efficiency and material optimization. Maintain MIS reports on billing, estimation, and project profitability. 4. Coordination & Documentation Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers for approvals, clarifications, and billing reconciliations. Ensure all estimation and billing documents are accurate, complete, and audit-ready. Prepare rate analysis, material reconciliation reports, and maintain records for future references. Support tendering and pre-contract activities with technical and commercial inputs. Key Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of interior fit-out works, materials, and cost estimation techniques. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity estimation software. Excellent understanding of BOQ preparation, rate analysis, and billing process. Detail-oriented with strong numerical, analytical, and documentation skills. Ability to coordinate across project, procurement, and finance teams effectively. Strong integrity and ownership in managing project finances. Educational QualificationB.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering / Interior Design / Quantity Surveying
