Job Description: BI Engineer – QlikView to Power BI Migration
BI Engineer / Data Visualization Specialist – QlikView to Power BI
Location: Remote/ Office
Key Responsibilities:
Migration of QlikView dashboards and reports to Power BI, ensuring functional parity and optimization.
Maintain “lights on” support for QlikView including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to analyze requirements, validate KPIs, and map QlikView reports to Power BI dashboards.
Provide production support for QlikView environments and address report-related issues.
Work with data engineering teams to ensure data pipelines and models support Power BI dashboards.
Ensure proper documentation, version control, and governance of migrated reports.
Assist in training business users on Power BI capabilities and best practices.
Identify opportunities for report rationalization and optimization during migration.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.
5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics.
Strong expertise in QlikView – report development, administration, and troubleshooting.
Hands-on experience with Power BI – dashboard design, data modeling, DAX, Power Query.
Experience in SQL and relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.) for backend queries and data integration.
Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipelines.
Ability to analyze and resolve issues in BI reporting systems quickly.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and business teams.
