About the Role

The Bar Manager at The Spirited Spot (TSS) is the anchor of our mixology culture and the driving force behind the bar's creative, operational, and experiential excellence. As a signature mixology-led brand with a flagship outlet in Nagpur and a new destination opening in Baner, Pune, TSS seeks a Bar Manager who can deliver top-tier beverage experiences, oversee a high-performance bar team, and maintain impeccable service and operational discipline. This role requires a leader with strong technical mixology knowledge, high aesthetic awareness, sharp guest-handling skills, and the ability to translate TSS's cocktail philosophy into a consistently outstanding bar experience.

Key Responsibilities

1. Mixology Leadership & Beverage Innovation

Develop new recipes, ingredients, infusions, and garnishes aligned with TSS brand identity.

Train the bar team on flavour profiles, techniques, balance, and presentation.

Ensure every drink meets TSS's visual, sensory, and quality benchmarks.

2. Guest Experience & Bar Counter Engagement

Make recommendations based on guest preferences, palate, and occasion.

Handle VIP guests, regulars, influencers, and experiential bookings with finesse.

Maintain the signature TSS bar-counter vibe and storytelling style.

3. Team Management & Training

Conduct ongoing training on cocktails, speed service, hygiene, and bar discipline.

Evaluate performance, set skill-improvement goals, and maintain a strong bar culture.

Foster teamwork, motivation, and a guest-first mindset.

4. Bar Operations & SOP Management

Implement and enforce all brand SOPs related to service, hygiene, bar setup, and close-down.

Maintain bar ambience standards lighting, bar top aesthetics, glassware, display, and equipment.

Monitor service speed, accuracy, and quality during peak hours.

5. Inventory, Costing & Vendor Coordination

Track wastage, breakage, pour cost, and consumption trends; report variances proactively.

Coordinate with premium spirit brands, distributors, and suppliers for timely procurement.

Maintain updated bar costing sheets and recipe documentation.

6. Compliance & Safety

Ensure compliance with FSSAI norms, excise regulations, and alcohol service laws.

Maintain strict hygiene standards for bar tools, equipment, and workstations.

Conduct routine checks for expiry, storage, and safety protocols.

Skills & Qualifications

58 years of bar experience

Strong technical knowledge of spirits, mixology, cocktail families, and bar equipment.

Excellent communication and guest engagement skills.

Experience in premium bars, luxury restaurants, or high-volume nightlife venues preferred.

Proficiency in inventory management, costing, and bar documentation.

High grooming standards and a confident, charismatic presence.
