About the Role

We are seeking a talented Backend Engineer with strong AI/ML expertise to own our core intelligence layer. You will be responsible for our RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) system, embedding pipelines, and AI-powered features that make our chatbots intelligent. This role combines traditional backend engineering with cutting-edge AI/ML integration.

You will work directly with LangChain, OpenAI APIs, vector databases (Milvus), and build the systems that power natural language understanding and generation across our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

AI/ML Development (50%)

- Design, implement, and optimize RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) pipelines

- Manage embedding generation using HuggingFace Transformers and Sentence Transformers

- Integrate and optimize llm calls for chat completions and embeddings

- Build and maintain LangChain chains and agents for complex workflows

- Design and implement workflows for visual AI pipeline creation

- Optimize vector search and retrieval using vector database

- Implement semantic search, similarity matching, and relevance ranking

- Experiment with and evaluate different embedding models and chunking strategies

- Build natural language query understanding for analytics.

Backend Development (40%)

- Develop and maintain Flask REST APIs for AI/ML features

- Build robust service architecture following domain-driven design principles

- Implement background job processing for several above mentioned processes.

Data & Infrastructure (10%)

- Implement data validation and preprocessing pipelines

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or related field

- 3-5 years of professional Python development experience

- 1-2 years of hands-on experience with LLMs, RAG systems, or NLP

- Experience deploying AI/ML models in production environments
