Back End Developer (Python)

Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using FastAPI and Django.
2. Build and deploy microservices from scratch, ensuring reliability and performance.
3. Decide and implement the right storage solutions (SQL vs. NoSQL) depending on use case.
4. Optimize server performance, focusing on low latency and high throughput.
5. Implement monitoring, logging, and debugging strategies with industry-standard tools.
6. Work with asynchronous programming and understand Python’s internals, including the GIL.
7. Collaborate with frontend teams and contribute when needed (bonus if eager to explore frontend stacks).
8. Ensure clean, maintainable, and test-driven code with proper documentation.

Requirements

1. 3+ years of professional backend development experience with FastAPI and Django.
2. Proven experience building and scaling microservices architecture.
3. Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming and Python internals.
4. Deep understanding of database design, including when to use relational vs. non-relational DBs.
5. Hands-on experience in server optimization, performance tuning, and profiling.
6. Familiarity with monitoring and debugging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Sentry, ELK, etc.).
7. Excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
8. Willingness to occasionally contribute to frontend development.
9. must be a power user of Cursor/Claude Code or any other AI code helper
10. willing to learn to building RAG and AI Agentic Solutions

Nice to Have

1. Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container tools.
2. Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
3. Contributions to open-source or side projects showcasing backend expertise.
