About the Role

Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using
Java
and
Spring Boot
.
Work with
MongoDB
and
PostgreSQL
for data modeling, storage, and query optimization.
Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other engineers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
Optimize application performance and scalability.
Contribute to continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

3+ year of hands-on experience
in software development, preferably in backend engineering.
Strong proficiency in
Java
and
Spring Boot
frameworks.
Experience with
MongoDB
and
PostgreSQL
(schema design, indexing, query optimization).
Solid understanding of
RESTful API design
and
microservices architecture
.
Familiarity with
Git
,
CI/CD pipelines
, and
unit testing frameworks
.
Strong problem-solving skills and an ownership mindset.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience working in a
startup environment
with agile methodologies.
Exposure to
Docker
,
Kubernetes
, or
cloud platforms
(AWS, GCP, Azure).
Knowledge of caching, messaging queues, or distributed systems is a plus.
