Position Overview

We are hiring a Backend Developer (.NET) to join our core engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for building backend services, API layers, and database systems. The ideal candidate should be strong in logic building, comfortable with MongoDB, experienced with the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, and familiar with containerization (Docker).

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core and C#.
• Architect, implement, and optimise RESTful APIs to support frontend.
• Work with MongoDB for schema design, indexing, queries, and performance tuning.
• Apply logic-driven problem-solving to build efficient, scalable solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and coding standards.

• Use Docker for containerisation of backend services and ensure smooth deployments.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps, and QA teams to deliver complete solutions.
• Implement unit/integration testing and participate in code reviews.
• Ensure application security (authentication, authorisation, data protection) and performance optimisation.
• Contribute to system architecture discussions and propose improvements for scalability and reliability.

Requirements

• Strong logic building and analytical problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET / ASP.NET Core.
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB (queries, aggregation pipelines, schema design).
• Solid understanding of OOP principles and design patterns.
• Familiarity with REST API development and integration.
• Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows.
• Exposure to authentication and authorization mechanisms (JWT, OAuth, Identity).

• Experience with Docker for containerization and deployment.

• Ability to debug and optimize performance across services.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• 2 - 4 years of backend development experience (internships + projects also considered strong).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote team.
