Role Overview

Backend Developer (L1)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using

  Node.js (Express)

  or

  Django (Python)

  .
• Build clean, reusable, and scalable REST APIs.
• Work with databases such as

  MongoDB

  ,

  PostgreSQL

  , or

  MySQL

  .
• Integrate third-party APIs, services, and internal tools.
• Participate in debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving backend issues.
• Write unit tests and contribute to improving code reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend, mobile, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features.
• Document endpoints, workflows, and technical decisions.

Requirements

• 1 -2  years of backend development experience (internships included).
• Strong knowledge of:

Node.js

JavaScript

Django

• Understanding of databases: SQL or NoSQL.
• Familiarity with API design principles and authentication (JWT/OAuth).
• Basic understanding of Git and version control workflows.
• Good debugging and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

• Experience with Docker or basic server deployment.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with caching (Redis), messaging queues, or microservices concepts.
• Understanding of writing scalable backend architecture.
