Job Description

Position: Azure DevOps Engineer

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Remote (with 1 visit to Bangalore office)

Timings: 10:00am - 7:00pm

Experience: 4–5 Years

About the Role

We are seeking an Azure DevOps Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks and CI/CD pipeline automation. You will be responsible for deploying, automating and optimizing end-to-end data workflows in a cloud environment while ensuring reliability, performance and security. This role requires close collaboration with Data Engineering and ML teams to support scalable and production-ready delivery pipelines.Key Responsibilities

Design, develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Azure-based data platforms.
Implement, optimize and monitor ADF and ADB workflows for data processing and analytics.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enable CI/CD for scalable data pipelines.
Automate orchestration processes using PySpark and SQL.
Troubleshoot performance issues, verify workflow reliability and ensure smooth operations.
Maintain deployment governance, security and compliance standards.

Core Competencies

Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and release automation.
Experience in Azure-led data engineering and cloud orchestration.
Hands-on expertise in distributed data processing using PySpark.
Strong skills in SQL, debugging, optimization and workflow validation.
Ability to support agile delivery and cross-team collaboration.

Mandatory Skills

Azure Databricks (processing, orchestration and performance optimization).
Azure Data Factory (ETL, workflow automation and data movement).
CI/CD Pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions or similar tools).
PySpark (distributed compute processing).
SQL (query tuning, validation and integration).

Good-to-Have Skills

Terraform or ARM templates for IaC.
Azure Synapse, Delta Lake or ADLS.
Azure Monitor, Log Analytics and related cloud monitoring tools.
PowerShell or Python scripting for automation.

Desired Qualifications

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT or related field.
4+ years of hands-on experience in Azure DevOps for data engineering pipelines.
Experience working with large datasets in production environments.

Additional Information

Selected candidates must travel onsite to the Bangalore office once.
The vendor must provide a laptop for the candidate.

Job Type: Contractual / Temporary
Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
