About the Role

Azure Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and PowerShell routines for Azure environments.
  • Support the design, configuration, and maintenance of

    Microsoft Azure cloud

    projects.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and reporting workflows using Azure native tools.
  • Build and maintain repositories for scripts, macros, and templates.
  • Develop and test

    installation scripts (MSI/EXE)

    for third-party software deployment.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to improve automation efficiency and reliability.
  • Maintain Azure Sentinel, Azure Log Analytics, and VM orchestration routines.
  • Document scripts, processes, and deployment standards.

Required Skills

  • Expert-level

    PowerShell scripting

    skills.
  • Strong understanding of

    Microsoft Azure

    , including VMs, Log Analytics, and Sentinel.
  • Hands-on experience with

    SQL Server

    and Structured Query Language.
  • Knowledge of

    Active Directory

    and

    Azure AD management

    .
  • Familiarity with cloud and hybrid workload automation.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
  • Experience collaborating across engineering teams in the SDLC.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience automating CI/CD processes in Azure DevOps or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting for system patching and monitoring.
  • Exposure to security and compliance automation within Azure.
