Azure Administrator

Key Responsibilities:


Azure Infrastructure Management:

  • Administer and optimize Azure services including Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Load Balancers, and Azure Resource Groups.
  • Manage provisioning, scaling, and cost optimization of Azure resources using best practices.


Azure Data Factory (ADF):

  • Design, build, and manage data pipelines and integration workflows using Azure Data Factory.
  • Collaborate with data teams to support ETL/ELT operations, data movement, and transformation across hybrid and cloud systems.
  • Monitor data pipeline performance, troubleshoot failures, and optimize pipeline efficiency.


DevOps & CI/CD:

  • Build and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Integrate deployment automation using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Ensure seamless deployment, versioning, and rollback of infrastructure and application components.


Identity & Access Management (IAM):

  • Administer Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), manage user identities, groups, service principals, and enterprise applications.
  • Implement and enforce MFA, Conditional Access policies, and SSO across services.


Role-Based Access Control (RBAC):

  • Define and apply granular RBAC policies to control access to resources.
  • Ensure least-privilege access principles and maintain access audit logs.


Monitoring & Security:

  • Set up and manage monitoring using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Respond to incidents, participate in on-call rotations, and resolve critical system issues.
  • Apply security recommendations from Azure Security Center and enforce compliance standards.


Documentation & Process Improvement:

  • Maintain clear and updated documentation of infrastructure configurations, access controls, and deployment processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, performance, and data reliability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
  • 4–7 years of experience in Azure administration, cloud infrastructure, and data integration.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Azure services, including:
  • Azure Virtual Networks, VMs, Storage, and Networking.
  • Azure Active Directory and RBAC.
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF) – data pipeline creation, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools and DevOps practices.
  • Proficiency in scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI).
  • Experience with IaC tools: Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security and identity management.
  • Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset.


Preferred Skills:

  • Azure Certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-500, or DP-203).
  • Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of data integration with SQL, Blob Storage, Synapse, or on-prem systems via ADF.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or AKS is a plus.
